| 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful:  Best Ratchet ever., This review is from: Wera Zyklop 8000 C, 1/2-inch Drive Ratchet Just like the 1/4 inch zyklop, which I've been using for six months, this 1/2 inch zyklop has quickly become the one I pick up first every time.It seems quirkier in this larger size - the handle feels odd, very ergonomic, soft and good, but odd. The fine tooth action is very nice. The swivel head is nice, and the socket lock has saved a couple sockets from being dropped in precarious locations. I thought the Zyklp looked short to me when I first pulled it from the box, but I compared it to my SK 1/2 ratchet and they were identical size. I think the colors and handle width make it look stubbier than it really is. So how does it work? fantastic - really. The grip alone is worth the price. I can't tell you how many times my hands feel bruised after working with a conventional ratchet all day. You can grip this thing tighter than metal ratchet and turn on it harder. I set out to "investigate" (if you can call it that) in garagejournal.com and elsewhere, coming to the conclusion that this brand produces excellent tools. A few observations: The selector is metallic (green color fringes around, cause the feeling that it is plastic). Therefore, no need to worry about scratches or harm caused by friction. The lock to rotate the head is plastic, however, is irrelevant because it does not take much pressure. In addition, its construction is sturdy. In terms of design, looks bulky in pictures but once you have in your hands is similar to other ratchets of this type, and it is logical, since the purpose of these ratchets lies in providing better access.
